So who's going for a sub 24 time then ?
I will start by saying, I would love just to finish maybe sub 48
You know by saying it here you will have a little more pressure to come up with the goods.
So nail your time to the Mast !!

As I've said elsewhere, under 30 hours will be an achievement for me.
Let's see what happens.....

i would like to beat my time last year. But I'm not holding up too much hope as it sounds like it's going to be tougher.

25 1/2 hours.
I bivi'd for 5 1/2 hours.
Secretly I was hoping to go sub 24 this year. Stop less, easy!
Er but after reading the other threads where stu has been saying how the route is tougher and knowing I've done far less riding this year, I'll be happy with a similar time.

I don't actually recall saying it was tougher but there's certainly less tarmac involved this year.

He's just trying to lull you in. I have no doubt in my mind that it will be tougher.

Of Deathmarch? I might leave the bike at home.
Bike isn't mandatory:
Q: Do I have to carry certain items?
A: Yes, there's a basic mandatory kit list that everyone must carry:
Sleeping bag.
Bivvy bag or a tent or a tarp.
F & R lights.
Mobile phone.

Good to aim fast. I'll be happy sub-24, but even better to beat last years time of 20h 32m.

16 hours 15 minutes.
Do you not feel the need to add the seconds to that too?

I'm hoping to go under a day but not really based on anything other than sub24 is a number.
Tricky to judge though with not knowing the route, or the area particularly well. Guessing that it will be harder than last year. I don't think stu likes giving out the black badges!

Going to be tight at the front then...

Last year I made up 15 mins on Phil Simcock by taking the right route over Carnau. Didn't alter the final outcome, but going the right way helps

Going to have plenty of room at the back then.

It's all about finishing for me, I think ~30 hours would be a target but realistically I think it might be a wee bit later than that.
Stu what time do you expect the last people to roll in? No doubt I'll be at the back but hopefully not on my own by a long distance
Wait for me...

Never mind Monday, I've booked Friday off work as well just to get a head start
I'm planning on just finishing. If I get anywhere near 24 hours I would be.......tired for sure + a bit chuffed

Nope ... although someone will be about all night to congratulate anyone returning during the hours of darkness*
*These may start sometime around 10.05 on Sat morning
