I saw this when it was originally on Kickstarter. Eddy currents are certainly pretty cool, and this is a great application for them.

That's insane! Damn you Barrington, I'm now going to have to look up all about Eddy currents now, there was no in depth explanation at the end.

Dirk, the manufacturer of this light confirmed to me today that he's working on incorporating this technology into a device charger. I'm excited to see what he comes up with.
