Was going to Skye today for a few weeks but its been delayed by a week or so ( no doubt till the weather changes!)
This means I have three days and two nights to play out starting tomorrow, but have been so focussed on Skye and western isles that I cant get my head into gear so I need inspiration
Am thinking either peaks or north wales, or possibly lakes, my default is Anglesey but I've lots of future time there
thanks for the help, should have said that I'm only any good for 50 miles a day, and slowly at that, too happy to stop and smell the roses so to speak, well brew up and take snaps
The route diverts away from some fantastic tracks on the gritstone edges ( after chatsworth house) which have recently become bridleways. Well worth going back through the thread to pick up the route variations.
If you Dm me your email address ill send you a gpx with the new bridleways included. I aim to include these rather than the older version when I get round to riding it...
Also in just back from Scotland and discovered ncn 78 which goes from Oban to glen coe. It links up nicely with a trip down glen etive and loch etive. All bar 3 km is ridable and there's a fantastic bothy at cadderlie on the shores of loch etive.
cheers fells, I was extra lazy and defaulted to Anglesey, two nights on the beaches in ace weather, lots of tracks ridden, lots of snaps taken, 120 miles over three days, about 120000 midge bites pretty much all over despite skinsosoft !
6 punctures in one day thanks to hedge cutting, one minipump and Surly Knards equals about a billion pumps :-/
