It does look a bit Fargo like (not a bad thing IMO) but would it not look neater if the headtube were a bit longer ... could lose some of those spacers then?

I was goinna say that's not a bad price for a complete Ti framed bike but the parts list doesn't really do it justice. It might represent better value as a frame or frame-and-fork package.

Nice and I like what Spa do a lot, but it's a long fork, I guess it's sus-corrected?
Spacers are like that for those that need them but for most / a photo 3" or so less would look better and still feel comfy to ride. But a foot of spacers never stopped Thorns selling well : )
I really like how the 'CTC lot' (apologies but you know what I mean) accept that a bike is functional over fashionable and don't question stuff like that. Refreshing, even if it does mean some quirky looking bikes.. they're far more interesting than another 'dream build' consumer checklist bike.

I feel a sense of achievement in that I've fitted skinny mudguards to my Fargo in a way that looks better than a shop can. ;)

Trouble is with that photo that the frame looks great, but the collection of assorted bits hanging off it make it look like it was built from the spares bin. The front mudguard - what are they thinking? And the headset spacers, and the bar angle, and the saddle.......

Even my "built from the spares box" singlespeed is a bit more photogenic than that....

SJS Cycles - which is one of my all time favourite retailers BTW - do the same thing with a few of their Thorn bikes and it ruins them IMO. I presume its so they can make frames fit a wider range of rider heights but honestly, check out this puppy. Who would buy something as ill-conceived as this? Im a huge fan of Spa Cycles as well but they should know better than to hang such crappy kit off what looks like a lovely frame.

Being Devil's advocate here..... They say it's a preorder and that they have one of each size to try. You'd leave the steerer on a demo to allow people to experiment fits? Or as Jameso hints with Thorns, some people just might not care? I'm firmly in the ugh camp though, it seems yo deserve a 'better' picture.

Isn't there a Spa employee here? I'd like to know the clearance at the back and if frame only is an option......

Aye, looks much better in this picture. Nice to read that there'll be a steel version too.
