Montane sizing

Post by petemaz »

can anyone assist with Montane sizing - I've got my eye on a lite speed jacket going cheap online. I'm normally always a large in other brands, so just wondering if I should upsize? It's for biking obviously, so likely would only ever wear just a baselayer beneath. cheers

I find it sizes up as normal. The only thing I've found that could do with upsizing is the Extreme smock.

I'd say normal to slim cut, depending on the particular jacket, but erring towards the normal

I have a Lite Speed and could wear a base layer and microfleece under it easily, it was a large jacket and I was a 42in chest. I've lost weight since then so its probably a bit big on me but I haven't worn it in a little while

Is the hood of particular use? Its a great walking windproof but I haven't worn it on the bike. I use a featherlite shirt if I'm wearing a Montane windproof on the bike, but could do with a bike specific one with longer arms

I'd agree with normal to slim.
