I thought others might be interested in an event taking place in June. There is a 40km and 100km route, the latter taking you across the Scottish Border. A nice place to bike and a good distance for those getting into the longer distances. Not a race (cough). Riders must be fully self sufficient. However, there is the benefit of emergency cover and nav assistance for those not so experienced.
Perhaps a good mid year trip for those working towards doing the BB200 in October?
I've done Keilder events including the ill fated '100' and recommend them. Shout if you are going and if you need tips on anything like accommodation.
