Another M&B Accomodation Query...?

Post by slugwash »

Team Dartmoor MoFo Posse are thinking of driving up on the Friday evening to get the best balance between time out on the course vs. a decent night's pre-event kip

Is it possible to park our van in the event HQ carpark, late Friday night, and sleep in the back of it there?

Or, if that's not cool, is there a suitable level* area nearby that someone could recommend? (a reservoir carpark, or picknic area perhaps?) :)

Cheers.

* Come to think of it, is the event HQ carpark anything like level??

Having spent a lot of time wildcamping with my Land Rover in various parts of Wales, Im sure you could find somewhere suitable on the west side of Llyn Clywedog or Hafren Forest. 15km South of the start it wont take you long to get there on Saturday ;)

Even easier if you dont have a tent. Pull over on a UCR or forest track and your done.

Not unless they've moved this lorry: http://g.co/maps/7t72h

However, it is handy for the cemetery: http://g.co/maps/zyg97

Cheers guys. I think we've now tracked down a couple of likely looking laybys within a reasonable distance of the start :-)

I'll be leaving about 6.15 from Brizzle too, swinging by Chepstow to pick up somebody else.

Long old drive. I have been getting up at 0500 every day this week (and next) driving to Macclesfield (and back... Macc and back :) ) for work so hopefully it shouldn't be too painfull. Maybe I should take the Monday off?

Just come in from fitting my Revelate Designs frame bag and fitting the Maxxis mud wrestlers to the Salsa, Its coming along nicely.

knocked out 45km last night around Pucklechurch/Yate and along the cycle track for some training... fooked I were
