Aeroe rear rack thoughts

Thanks James. IIRC mine on the Transmitter weren't exactly thin but it was also one of the lightest (but strong) frames at the time. 950g or 1050g, I forget which... Size M. I'll see if I can dig out a pic or two.

I have the pannier rack version

It's great for switching between frames but is heavy, it slipped once loaded asymmetrically but that could be down to not rechecking the tightness of the bolts

Some failures allegedly on carbon frames, I'm fine with it on my steel and alloy frames

To be fair those faults did happen during ultras-GBDuro I think? So they would no doubt get absolutely hammered.

Also, I know some riders are sponsored by Tailfin and are given pre production models to test in the field, so perhaps the one's that broke were prototypes?

I have the aeroe pannier rack, the only difference to the spider is the top plate which works with panniers

As said above use a torque wrench and I wouldn't do it on a carbon frame

But I liked my Fat Aeroe rear rack so much that I bought a normal one.

Even when not in use I still leave them on the bikes

I was talking about the Tailfin aero racks The Aeroe Spider one's do look good. I've heard that the Old Man Mountain one's are also good, if very spendy!
