FS - Maxx-D, Ultegra 10speed shifters, Hope V-Twin brakes

Post by slarge »

Hi all
I seem to be replacing old stuff with new, but not getting shot of the old stuff, so here goes:

Exposure Maxx D- it's old, probably 2010 - 2012 and is 1400 lumens on max. It has had lots of use, but is still fully functional and cosmetically tidy. Will be sold with a bar mount (31.8mm bars) and mains charger. The big downside of this light is the battery which is pretty worn out. On the max setting it should run for 3 hours, but is down to 20-30 minutes, but on medium or low it's good for several hours. It doesn't have the programs that the newer Exposure lights have (there are 4 settings - Max, Medium, Low and pulse). If you wanted to put fresh cells in I am sure that would bring the runtime back to hours rather than minutes. £50 +£5p&p. Or pickup from Warwick or I can deliver within 30-40 miles (I like a purpose for a ride).

Ultegra 2 x 10 speed road shifter/brake levers. These have come off my CX bike, and are in very good condition. A couple of scuffs to the tips of the levers but nothing else. Suitable for mechanical (cable) gears and brakes only.
LH lever is for 2x shifting, RH lever is for 10 speed. £120 for the pair (would prefer not to split) +£5 p&p. Or pickup from Warwick or I can deliver within 30-40 miles (I like a purpose for a ride).

Hope V-Twin brakes. These are around 8 years old I think (maybe a fraction older), but not really had much use. They are mechanical (cable) actuated hydraulic brakes, and work with the Ultegra road shifters above. Brake cable pulls the master cylinder that then actuates the calipers. The master cylinder assembly sits under the stem, so they'd work on a gravel bike (but maybe a bar harness would get in the way). Calipers are Hope X2 (lightweight 2 piston post mount).
They desperately need a full strip and rebuild - I have caliper seal kits and a master cylinder rebuild kit. I am pretty sure the master cylinder needs a good clean and possible greasing to free it up as the brakes feel very wooden (new cables also needed and greatly improve the feel). I'd say they're not as good as new Shimano GRX (which I now have), but they could be a cheap(er) way into hydraulic road brakes. The hydraulic hoses are the right length for a small/medium CX frame. For the set (master cylinder, front and rear calipers, rebuild kits and the hoses and whatever pads are fitted ( fairly new I think) I'd like £100. Plus £5 p&p. Or pickup from Warwick or I can deliver within 30-40 miles (I like a purpose for a ride). To be very clear they are post mount calipers - which is not the new road bike/ gravel bike standard (which is flat mount).
Now I can rebuild these for an extra £25 but I'll leave the bleeding to you (as I'd not be able to check how well they're bled without fitting them to a bike)

I also have an Xbox 360 and around 20 games, plus 60GB external memory and controllers (that's my son's) that'll probably be ebayed unless someone on here is interested. Price will be negotiable.
Plus a keyboard (musical) - it's 10 years old, hardly used, but a good starter thing. Probably around £40
And a small pool table - this is 20 years old but unused for 10. Pretty good condition and still flat. A few marks on the felt but no rips. It was a fairly cheap one when new, so would be £30 or so now
These 3 items I need to sort out properly, but if anyone is keen that would give me some motivation. I won't be delivering these on my bike.......

Thanks - feel free to PM me or email (stevelarge66@gmail.com) for pics or further details
