Anyone NOT ridden a 29er ?

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

Just wondering, has anyone here not had a go on a 29er ? I'm sure the company I keep may have something to do with 29" wheels appearing more 'normal' than 26" wheels to me these days. ;)

When I look at new bike press release pictures/fresh goods friday/etc. I find myself thinking nice bike, but why stick with the small wheels.

I've not spent longer than 30mins on one.

A) I cant afford another bike.
B) I really like the bike I have.

Plus, 26er frames have a large main triangle to fit luggage into

I'm a recent convert thanks to those who will remain nameless but they are generally the devilish, smelly gilled, Bb200 gladiatorial influencers of this forum ;)

Still not 100% convinced - now I've played with bar height, suspension it is certainly better but it doesn't feel quite right
