Hi, I have a short Airo which has had four outings (five nights). All fine until There-n-back where I had the pleasure of replacing air several times during the night.
On return home I went about detecting the hole with the use of the bath tub. I found not a single hole but a larger general area on the underside where air is escaping. Maybe 10+ sources of bubbles.
Given that I was forced by flatfishy to kip on tiled floor rather than in the -6C outside that I would have preferred (cough), and that I always have mat inside bivi, I'm confused how this has happened.
Any similar experiences?
Any advice on how to stop it happening again?

If there's no damage, holes, etc to the bivvy bag and no abrasion marks on the mat, I'd suspect that the material is porous.
Have a word with AlpKit, I've not heard of any Airo failures before.

Had seam failures on Peak Elite AC where it's slowly lost air.
As the warm air/breath in mats cool it becomes denser so you always loose some pressure.

Same thing happened to my thermarest. Was fine for years, then after one airless night out I checked it in water and found 12 tiny holes. Must've been something tiny and spiky growing there? Took a while with the seamgrip to sort that. My neoair has been put in an area where in the light of morning I found loads of debris that should have flatted it yet it's fine. Luck I think?

I didn't make you sleep on the floor, you could have spooned up to me all night if you'd asked.

Have a word with Alpkit, I had a Wee Airic delaminate a couple of years ago, they asked for a pic and the asked me to send them the nozzle cut from the mat (presumably to prevent someone taking the piss). It was over a year old for sure.
A couple of days later I got a new mat, which is still going strong. Great service, no hassle etc.
