Problem with Bikehike.co.uk

Post by johnnystorm »

Is it just me/windows8/internet explorer or is something up with bikehike.co.uk? I can create routes, and load them onto it but the save tab doesn't seem to get highlighted. I've used it before on this computer....

For the last week or so I've been having trouble with it at home on my Mac with firefox/safari (previously fine), but it's fine on my Windows 7 machine at work.

Famous last words. The Save option is highlighted but the resulting routes converted to tracks are all 0 bytes.

The 'drag' mode hasn't worked for me for a few weeks but it has produced tracks okay.

It's never worked for me on Firefox so never used it. I read this thread and just though I would try on IE11, Windows 7 and it works, great I can now start using it. Thanks, good luck to the rest of you.

Paul.

Just tried it. works fine for me. Google Chrome browser.

The weather outside the window is not working. It seems to be leaking rather a lot.
I'll give it a half hour...

I had trouble with it last week as well, so i tried another my second option: bikeroutetoaster. That site was also broken with a message that google had updated the way people can connect to their maps and it needed most of the code rewritten.
Could possibly be the same problem for bikehike. (It works for me again now though)

It's all working again for me now.

I noticed that when it was broken it looked like it was trying to use the Bing version for the OS window. Looks like its querying OS direct again now.
