What did Santa actually bring?
So what did he bring this fine morning? I got a downmat, possum and various bike bits plus some great divide books :D
Re: What did Santa actually bring?
I got half a dozen plastic forks.
Apparently it's the wife's way of saying I'm allowed to buy a "set of forks".

Nice axe.
I've had mine for a couple years now.
Worth buying a GB sharpening stone to keep it unfeasibly sharp.

Re: What did Santa actually bring?
Various Alpkit bike-baggery, one of the 8g meth stoves - lovely to play with when the flame jets go! Also the new alpkit titchy stove. And some outdoorsy books (will report once I've read them)
And a 'bambu' bamboo spork - only 5g compared to the cow's-arse like 10g regular plastic spork! Sadly the varnish doesn't appear to be that tough but will try it out. 8-)

Re: What did Santa actually bring?
Some nice warm cycling socks from the missus which I put to the test on a somewhat chilly Christmas Day ride, and a Cicerone Cycling the Pennine Bridleway book from the parents.
Birthday coming up soon so a large Alpkit order will be put together shortly...

Re: What did Santa actually bring?
Got Howies bib short's from their cycling range, test ride today (with over tights) I'd give them 10/10 for comfort, fit and warmth.
http://www.howies.co.uk/mens/clothing/c ... short.html
Got some grips, saddle bag.
I got the wife entry into this summers Liverpool - Chester - Liverpool 50 mile bike ride which goes through the Mersey Tunnels twice.
The only problem is I'll have to steer and help a bit as we are doing it on the MTB tandem (with semi slicks), up to 20 miles now on the Tandem, so we've 6 months before the event to build up to 50 miles

Re: What did Santa actually bring?
I got the aforementioned sleeping bag, Cordillera vol 5, a pair of smart phone gloves, some lego & Attention All Shipping by Charlie Connelly.
Re: What did Santa actually bring?
My only bike related present was a Lezyne pedal spanner.
Cannot complain though as I did get plenty that I wanted, jeans, two pairs of trainers, flights to Santorini in August, DVDs, CDs etc.
I hope that you all had a good one.

Re: What did Santa actually bring?
Cordillera vol 1, Gortex Karakorum Mountain Cap and a total shot in the dark from the girl friend of a Trek Mates micro fleece sleeping bag liner. I think it might just give a few extra degrees to make my sleeping bag fine for winter duties.
