Warm Weather Winter Training
Anybody ever been away during winter to one of the cycling training camps, or just somewhere warm to go training? If so, any recommendations?

Lanzarote is good, have a look at Club La Santa. Road riding groups/mountain bike groups are out every day.
Bit windy but a nice temp in the run up to Christmas.
Bit pricey but when you factor in all the free organised sport it's not a bad price.

Have been to Majorca a few times with a bunch of mountainbikers on road bikes, good mix of lumpy bits and flat easy sections. weather can be relied on though, its generally warmer. Tons of companies and german run hotels offer good deals to get cyclists in their off peak season.
Have also been to Freeridespain several times. Amazing trails and easy going organiser Simon. Have also been out there self supported with a road bike, they pick you up from Granada or Malaga and sort you out with a place to stay for the week. Self catering made it cheap yet they are still there to help out with routes and ride with you.
Amazing quality roads to ride out there, race track quality in places and snow line to sea routes, plenty of great tapas bars to stop at too.
Forecast for Motril on the coast is best indication down there http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/SPXX0058

Also been with Sierra cycling twice, just for a couple of day rides whilst staying a few miles away, and it's pretty much like the STW thread said.

:D Yes training fairly hard, and about to up it. Should be OK unless Stuart introducing doping tests then I'll be in trouble. Mach 'n Back is a bit of fun, the target is sighted on the WRT and an ITT of the BB200 next year. Mid life crisis, nah!!!! I mean I have plenty of reasons to ride a heavy steel single speed clad in a lycra romper suit
