What's on your Christmas list?
Has anyone asked Santa for anything good / interesting / odd?
I don't appear to have a Christmas list (and no one's asked if there's anything I'd like), so he may or may not be paying a visit :?

Re: What's on your Christmas list?
I got asked if there was anything i liked last night as people are saying i am tough to buy for. I have only requested a couple of things, those being a couple of books (Worst Journey in the World, Cordillera vol 2-4) and a bear bones thermal neck warmer!
Also, even though me and the missus arent buying for each other, she has said i can book a MTB skills weekend :D , as long as she gets a pamper day
so i will be in touch come pay day Stu and ill be spending the weekend in Wales!

Winter glove liners from the wife, money from folks may go towards Rab Silwing tarp but still undecided on it as yet, hoping Stu's tarp review covers it.
Re: What's on your Christmas list?
Had a 'Team Meeting' at Hoarcross the other year - didnt get much work done
The trouble with Santa in our house is that despite Santa getting a list (with links) I always end up just buying what I'm needing bike wise
So far have got some Northwave winter boots - Oh i love warm feet
also need a proper back light (looking at an exposure redeye with long cable to run off the Revo) but that might have to wait until the Jan Sales

I have an SP dynamo hub (the new 15mm bolt through one) built on to an Arch EX and and exposure Revo on my list.
As I'm buying them myself i'm fairly hopeful that Santa will produce the goods!

Inbred 29er frame and carbon fork for me (hopefully) :D
Should hopefully have it built for the 2014 WRT, might be a bit less uncomfortable this time around

A couple of Bearbones tarp poles and a nice warm Bearbones hat ready for when I get "there". :D
Re: What's on your Christmas list?
Nice new rigid 29er, pinnacle ramin 1 probably. And some extras like some nice pedals and probably some better bars :D

Doubt I'll get it but the main thing I'm wanting this year is a Garmin Forerunner 910XT with HRM and Speed/Cadence sensor. Did ask for some winter road cycling kit but was able to buy that anyway over the weekend when the missus decided she "needed" a new pair of boots.

Fingers crossed I'll get a tool kit from the wifey and that's it really. I'm treating myself to a new TNF jacket this week, so no complaints :)
My parents have booked me and the wife a mini break to Manchester in January. So it will be a trip to the comedy club one night and if my pregnant wife feels ok, a walk in the Peaks :)

I'd love one of these as Im getting too old and soft to sit on logs anymore, Trouble is it weighs 500g and I have no idea how to fit it into an already overstuffed frame bag. But I still want one.
Edit - dunno why the pic didn't show so trying again - its an Alite Monarch Butterfly chair. Thankfully they come in nice colours than this one.

Re: What's on your Christmas list?
A small non-violent revolution resulting in all the evil, thieving, scumbag political class and it's corporate cronies being thrown in prison and a bottle of Laphroaig in a hip flask in a Revelate gas tank so I can ride off into the hills and celebrate ... and a very happy and peaceful new year to us all.
Re: What's on your Christmas list?
Now that sounds like my kind of xmas.

Re: What's on your Christmas list?
I like the idea but don't think it would be compatible with the contents of my hip flaskTheBrownDog wrote:I'd love one of these as Im getting too old and soft to sit on logs anymore, Trouble is it weighs 500g and I have no idea how to fit it into an already overstuffed frame bag. My Christmas list was sorted in September*: http://bearbonesbikepacking.co.uk/phpBB ... 28&p=23120
* but I'm not allowed it until 25 Dec.
Good job it isn't forecast to be cold for the winter bivvy

Aeropress & Grinder
Whisky
A book to read
Would have me sorted and happy.
Looking to treat myself to a new bike anyway so can't be greedy :)

Re: What's on your Christmas list?
Osprey Talon 33 rucksack for me and a better compass (been working on my navigation as I think I rely too much on gps).
Might treat myself to some crampons in the January sales...
Seem to be pretty sorted on bike kit.

Not necessarily a new bike, but the permission to buy a new bike.
I’ve been abart a bit
Re: What's on your Christmas list?
26" ridged forks for the inbred frame I'm having off the folks and hopefully a frame bag off the misses

Trying to ride bikes.
