What with work and all I don't seem to be getting out as much as Id like (despite constantly thinking about new trips, new builds and general bike bits). My last decent session was a week long trip to glorious Wales in September with not so much as a single bike ride since!
How often do you guys get out and when was your last over-nighter?
When was your last Bivi?

Re: When was your last Bivi?
Technically, it's was the WRT and I promised myself to go out each month
I managed a weekend trip in July riding in North Wales but stayed at a mates house, but that doesn't count. Mite my style though, quite like a hot shower at the end off a rife and a pub tea. I'm such a wimp
Tried a local bivy last month but it was too local. I couldn't find a nice bivy spot (Chester area), so pedalled home. Guess staying local to your nice, comfortable bed was never going to work out. Still, got free chips and cheese in a pub as they thought I would need it as I was cycle touring!

Too long ago but that's what happens when you move into a house that needs total redecoration. I normally manage a trip every couple of months. Looks as though the winter bothy bivi will be my next and last one this year but have been thinking I might try getting a wood gathering trip in for the above which may turn into an overnighter under the tarp.

13th September for me.
Hoping to make Stu's Mid December one, but not asked SHMO as yet though.

Re: When was your last Bivi?
Holy crap!
I looked back and have calculated that I've not bivi'd since May!!!!!
I've managed to ride a little but what with moving house, my bad back and having another little 'un, I've just not been able to swing it.
I've got my sights set on something soonish before the winter really sets in (it's currently -9° at night with 30cm of fresh snow on the ground and it's only going to get worse).
I'll put the idea to the little lady tonight and see if it flies.
Wish me luck!

Re: When was your last Bivi?
Well, that was easy enough - got a simple "ok, when do you want to go" from the Mrs and so all that's stopping me is the insane cold!
Looking like I'll head out in the next couple of days (though it's getting colder apparently!).
If I survive I'll post some nice snowy pics.
Thanks for the kick up the arse!
