Jetboil Sol

Post by didnothingfatal »

Anybody got one and used it in the cold or high altitude? My last jetboil nearly got hurled into a crevasse, totally frustrating, it got ebayed! But I'm intrigued by the Sol Ti more specifically being used in the cold :)

I've no idea how well the thing would perform in the cold but if I were looking for a gas stove for cold conditions, I'd be thinking something with a remote canister (so I could insulate the canister). I'd also want something with a gas pre-heat system ... in fact something like this.

That's similar to the MSR Windpro I have, really fancy giving the new style Jetboil a try, but it's a pricy experiment after the fun and games with the last one.
