WTD: steel frame

Post by Ian »

Looking for a steel frame to adapt as a display stand for Bespoked next year. Condition not really important, as it'll get modified and resprayed anyway. Something probably no bigger than 17/18" tops. Anyone have anything lying about gathering dust? Cheap is good :)

Thanks,

Ian

I've got a snapped Inbred (18") but I couldn't get it to you until we next make it to blighty (Jan/Feb) but if you've not got anything sorted by then you're welcome to it.

Thanks Gairy - might be a go-er. Where is the snap?

Chainstay (from chain rub) but have been told it's weld-able.

Got a Marin Muirwood circa ermm 2008 or something. Rear triangle is a tiny bit bent, and there's a seatpost stuck in it (USE alien but the end of that is snapped!). I think it's technically a 19 inch frame.

Looked like this under the mud in it's hey day.

Can take a photo if you want.

I'll accept vouchers towards a wildcat bag for the cotic ;)

Zippy - thanks for that. I've gone for Gairy's Inbred, which will do the job nicely.
