Garmin 705 Help

Post by Zoglug »

Evening all,

Just sorting myself out to head out tomorrow either on my bike or walking. Im planning to get the train to Rochdale and work my way home using both the Pennine Bridleway and Trans Pennine Trail.

What i am wondering is, i have a gpx of each route separate, if i upload them both onto my Garmin 705, will they both show up? Its just so i know when to come off the PBW as i dont have a map and compass!

Can't you just plot out a new route with the sections of both trails on?
May the bridges you burn light your way

Pretty sure it's only the "active route" that shows up. When you've completed that one, you'll need to select the other one to navigate.

Can you add a waypoint/marker at the point you need to leave on section one and when you get there load up section two?

Cheers for the advices! I decided to just make a new route. WIll get me from Rochdale to Hyde, 30 miles it reckons, so if i make it, ill be delighted!

I just hope I can find a decent spot to camp up for the night!
