WTD - Salsa Anything Bag, bag from Podsacs fork deck+bag kit, or similar?

Post by jameso »

Bit of a longshot... I'm after something like the PODSAC's Tarpaulin Fork Dry Bag, this -

Or similar, like the Salsa Anything bag - something tough but slim/ small OD and about 4-5l capacity. It's for a MYOG lightweight rear bag holder experiment for my roadpacker where space is limited. Hard to find on the cheap - Ortlieb bags are larger OD, Lomo don't have anything as long+thin. Seems that a fork bag shape is what I need.

Anything out there FS SH, ideas or links I may have missed? :-bd

I've got a drybag that came with the PX/POD bar harness. When laid flat it measures approximately 60*23cm. Any use?

Thanks, but it'd be a bit big - I think that one is 8-9l, need about half that for a sleeping bag and mat to fit in w/o too much bag bunching as it's cinched down.

A bit small unf. The Lomo equivalent is also 3l. Bar bags seem to all be kept narrow and what I'm after needs to be slim, can be longer e2e as it's going under the saddle.

All of them, damn you're picky!
Maybe one of our compatriots who's handy with the needle and thread could rustle something up? (Not me btw. I'm alright with a file and welder but not a sewing machine).

I have one of them PODSAC fork cage and bags. Bought with the intention of sticking it on my downtube, but the cage is too wide. I'm keeping the cage for future use, but am happy to send you the bag though, will dig it out and post a photo in a bit...

Edit:

Here you go, 12cm diameter, about 32cm or some such when rolled down. Never been used, so as new.
