WANTED - 29" plus-size tyre - 2.6 to 3.0" wide

Going to try something plus-sized on the front of a Singular Gryphon. Wheel will be a Hope Fortus35.

Ideally looking for something at the lighter / faster / less aggressive end of the scale.

Apparently the Mk1 forks will take a 3" (clearance between the fork legs looks to be about 95mm) though if given a choice I would probably go for slightly less.

So, anyone got anything to offer?

Maxxis have a sale on at the moment you might find something there. I got a minion 29 x 3.0 for £48. Also some good deals on Bontrager Xr4 and XR2 plus tyres at the moment

Not got any to offer, but WTB Rangers (2.6 or 3.0) in Light Fast mode would fit the bill, and can often be had quite cheaply. Another vote for Bonty XR2 2.6, they are fairly light and fast rolling and seem to be reasonably priced (£40 new at the mo)
