Gore Bike Wear Alp-X 2.0 waterproof shorts

Post by Ian »

As per title, in medium.

Bought these earlier in the year. Carefully studied the size chart, bought medium, but after using them for a couple of rides decided I needed the small, which I've now bought. They're great shorts for all day wet weather riding. Cost new is £130, but available here for £70 inc post.

Cheers,

Ian

Well I won't buy these - but I've now decided that I also need the small then ;)

I think I'm medium sized but your opening post has put me in doubt :)

Ian, I take it you like these, and I want to get a set of shorts to keep my arse dry. How breathable/usueable do you find them? I'm toying with the idea of these or a set of altura semi-dry shorts...
Like I said, I would have had these off you, but need size small

I don't have any issues with breatheability. Water repellancy is good. Now I have the small, the cut/ fit us good. Great piece of kit all round in my opinion, but a bit pricey if bought new (or if you've bought two pairs, one of which were too big)

I'll just add that these are still available if anyone interested. I should also say that whilst the condition is described as good and having done "two rides", one of them was the Trans Cambrian Double, so they've done 250 miles+. They show signs of use, but still function perfectly and would do very many more miles. £55 posted.
I'll post some pics up later.

Thanks for that Ian.

I stumbled across a set of Altura Semi-Dry shorts for £35 brand new on eBay, so have bought them to give them a try before I invest 3x that, I can see me ending up with the Gore ones eventually though :geek:
