For sale is my Bearpaw Wilderness Designs Pyranet 1 used for approximately 6 nights
Specs; 30D silnylon floor , 12" silnylon extension on 3 sides, and right handed J zip. Used with Lair and Trailstar but linelock on apex so would fit under something taller.

Re: BWD Pyranet 1
Probably a stupid question (I'm good at stupid questions) but do you think you could squeeze two friendly people into this,(one tall and fat the other small and skinny) under a trailstar. Looking at the photos on BPWD website doesn't look likely but depends which variant it is, diagram for trailstar adapted one looks hopeful but don't get how it's 32" at one end and 60" at the other.
How much does it weigh and would it fit someone 6 foot one'ish? Congratulations on getting the Oookstar, looks fab.

Malc,
Any idea if this would fit under a Z-packs Hexamid?
I see the bearpawwd site says this:
Cheers,
Ian

but not sure what they mean :?Can be modified to fit under Zpacks' Hexamid shelter. Requires the 10" extensions on at least 3 sides (additional to the Hexamid modification.)
Cheers,

Adrian, I reckon I could fit me and my 5yr old lad in (or a dog) but I wouldn't like to try another adultProbably a stupid question (I'm good at stupid questions) but do you think you could squeeze two friendly people into this,(one tall and fat the other small and skinny) under a trailstar.
My version is the standard pryranet, it fits under the Trailstar at a bit of an angle so you end up with dead space at the back. Its good for storing gear but you have to go round back of tarp and shove it under. The modified version looks like my Oookstar floor plan which is still at an angle under the tarp but extends into the back, hence the funny shapeLooking at the photos on BPWD website doesn't look likely but depends which variant it is, diagram for trailstar adapted one looks hopeful but don't get how it's 32" at one end and 60" at the other.
This might show it better than I am explaining it http://www.oookworks.com/OookStar.html
370g with linelocks and spectra and it would be a squeezeHow much does it weigh and would it fit someone 6 foot one'ish?

I use it under a Cuban Lair at a height of 122cm. Pryranet fits fine but is bit saggy, think Its designed for 130cm +
Anyway isnt this a bit of a luxury item for your minimalist kit Ian

Re: BWD Pyranet 1
Probably is a luxury item, but as it won't fit it makes it an easy decision. Thanks :)
