No tea, no coffee, no hot chocolate.
As an experiment on my last outing (3 nights) I decided to not bother taking either tea, coffee or hot chocolate(and of course no cup)to see if I missed it. I didn't miss it once even though at home first thing I do in the morning is make coffee. It might have been different if it was cold but I think I could cope. Anyone else do without hot drinks?

That's just crazy talk Ray!Anyone else do without hot drinks?

May the bridges you burn light your way

I'll wade through cold rivers, ride single speed over mountains, push up ridiculous inclines, shiver through the night with inadequate sleeping facilities, squint through blizzards and suffer through rain storms but I will not endure self inflicted hardship like that Ray.

Worse cup of tea was last year, snowing and bleak in the alps. Pee'd in the keg kettle, didn't have enough water to wash properly next morning and get a brew going. Seriously weird tasting tea, that morning. But Ray, no tea is just so wrong!

Never, not even once, in all of my 37 years have I had so much as a sip of tea or coffee and so I can't say as I miss it when out riding/bikepacking.
People and their insistence that life isn't possible or desirable without tea/coffee always makes me laugh - it's all about what you get used to I suppose!
On the other hand riding/bikepacking without eating chocolate.....
Unthinkable!

Now just hold on a minute Ray and get a grip, the thought of a wild camp without a brew is enough to make
you resort to a hotel
and give up wild camping forever. I trust this experiment has come to an end
you resort to a hotel

This thread is just insanity. I call for the moderators to remove such dangerous ideas from the site.

Where's the report button. Blatant trolling. I'm not that fussed about tea/coffee at home but no way am I staying out without a brew on hand!
