Afternoon folks,
After lots of smaller rides, my girls and wife are finally up for some longer adventures!
After e excitement subsided and I realised that dragging them up into the Berwyns might tarnish their enthusiasm I've started looking at some of the Sustrans routes, well parts of them, and bits like that.
Just thought I'd see if anyone on here knows of any hidden gems in around mid wales, I'm based in Llanrhaeadr Ym Mochnant and we don't mind travelling a bit, there are certainly parts of the WRT route I'd look to revisit, like the disused railway line out of Aber.
Thanks folks
Drew

Dol' to Barmouth along the estuary ?
May the bridges you burn light your way

Top of the Élan Valley down through the dams to Rhayader is good - net downhill. Leave wife and kids in a cafe in town while you ride back and fetch the car from the top?

Try Sustrans Route 81 from Cwmystwyth to Aberystwyth, mostly all flat, virtually no roads and lovely scenery. Done this on the WRT on the second day in the morning and it was great.
