Tent silnylon bag in Wildcat Tiger?

Post by Dan_K »

Have just got both a Wildcat Tiger and a Lunar Solo and was wondering if the silnylon bag the Lunar Solo comes in will be "rugged" enough to be used in the Tiger or would I be better putting it in an Alpkit Airlok xtra drybag?
My first impression is that it's secure enough to be ok and shouldn't suffer from rubbing or anything but i'd appreciate some advice from experienced users. Last thing I need is a hole in my tent! I guess the silnylon is weatherproof enough too?

Although it's extra weight I'd be tempted to stick it in a dry bag ... I managed to rip a hole in my Enlightened quilt when I lent my bike against a fence and that was in a dry bag

Ive just replaced mine with an 4L airlock and ditched the long sausage bag.
It's packed down small now, too small for the Tiger so it's carried in my wingnut.

Cheers guys, i'll pick up a smaller dry bag for it then. I think I have a 5L one indoors.

4 litres?? Was it a tight squeeze?
