I have spent a few nights in my 6MD LS, but I still haven't got round to cutting my carbon fibre pole to length.
It has been fun finding nearby sticks or hanging it from a branch. And the 30g weight saving has meant I have been able to travel much faster.
But mountains have less trees than hills - so time to cut.
Website says 49" x 2.54 = 124.5cm.
I have noticed that pole (wooden stick) length changes the way the tent sets up. More ventilation v less, and each way still works. So my question is - does anyone have any opinions on longer or shorter pole lengths for this tent?
Cheers.
PS: if anyone is thinking of getting this tent, be aware that it is a light/bright/non-stealthy green. Not the dark forest/stealth green that they advertise.

Re: 6MD LS pole length?
I use the standard pole length - 49" including spigot.

Re: 6MD LS pole length?
Aye, 49" for the latest generation and 48" for the older incarnation. Things like whether the ground is completely flat will alter pitch but generally 49" will provide a good pitch in 99% of cases.

Re: 6MD LS pole length?
It does make a difference. It'll still pitch at 48" but it won't raise the floor as it's designed to. A 1" extension piece could be madeErrr, how important is 49" for the new one over 48? ...
