Best pour n store cosy design?

Post by Ray Young »

Currently got a single layer one with a fold over flap but thinking now of a double layer one. Any ideas?

Any reason why you want to double up Ray ? Not staying warm enough ?

How much room is there inside the cosy ? Any excess air space will make it less efficient.

I've found that the most important spot for insulation is the base, more heat seems to get lost there than anywhere else. I've doubled up on the base before but used closed cell foam rather than Thermowrap for the second layer.
May the bridges you burn light your way

Only used it once and by the time the savoury rice had finished cooking itself it was warm but not hot. I have since added an extra layer to the bottom but not tried it yet. No air space around the pour n store when it's closed up. Was thinking of adding a sleeve that slides over the top.
