5 days of road, tracks and trails with my friend from Aberdeen to Ballater to Aviemore and back via some great routes. Glorious weather! My knee held up, but had achillies troubles all the way.

Excellent! The weather was mostly kind too
It's always interesting seeing the places which which you are very familiar through someone else's eyes/lens - and spotting where they missed a nice bit of trail. I guess you like rivers a lot?

It was pretty funny when we came across a guy with a dog who said 'Is there any reason you came this way?' our reply was that we didn't know any better
and he said there's a single track the other side that all the mountain bikers use
Well we just went where looked sensible, not knowing the area, we stayed safe and had a great time with no drama and wondered where the big landslip was that everyone kept mentioning!
I assume there was some trail on the eastern bank that we missed...
