Quick question to all considering attending ... do we want a pub? Not for keeps but for an hour or so.

Ps A cafe for breaky would also be a bonus... haha
Re: Plenty of warning ... WWB
Wasn't too bad last year having the pub to drop into to dry out/have a feed/imbibe. But it doesn't matter too much if there isn't one.

She's only interested in a full woodpecker (pint of).

Re: Plenty of warning ... WWB
I'm hopefully going to come along to this as long as I can get my little one looked after as it's the wife's Xmas night out the same night.
Re: Plenty of warning ... WWB
Is this one going to involve us all getting naked again in the same room
I hope it's not a repeat of the same weather that's for sure!!

Due to the selfish arrival of our latest offspring our annual October UK visit has been postponed until December and so it's entirely possible that I might be able to blackmail or barter a weekend pass for this one.
I'll keep an eye on this thread and gently start probing for moments of spousal weaknesses in which to mention the idea to Mrs Boss.

Okay then, just a little more info although nothing's set in stone just yet ... it looks like we'll be south east(ish) of BB Towers this year. I've hopefully put something together with lots of off-road, a real 'wild feel' to it, yet pretty much all rideable (as in, no death-march).
I just need a quick recce' trip and we'll be good to go. However, I can say with absolute certainty that there'll be no yurts, fire pits, sparklers or lightly toasted marshmallows involved

"No yurts..etc"
. Pete's bringing his portable cappucino maker now so I'm told....
"south east(ish)" - keep going far enough and we'll all bump into each other which would be quite amusing

I am hoping for a pub. Last year's steak and kidney pudding, chips and gravy was lovely and I'm sure set us up for the (g)looming nocturnal death-march that followed. At least you haven't dismissed public watering holes.....yet

Re: Plenty of warning ... WWB
pub was great, maybe a bit early last year but better than the 1 before the tab over the bog,

it's not that I can and others can't, it's that I will and others won't.
