If you were knocking up a tarp ...
... what would it be like? I'm interested to see if I've missed anything.
I've got a template sat on my desk for a flat tarp which can be set up in a number of ways.
1/ Normal 'A frame' or lean to.
2/ 'A frame' with a dropped rear beak.
3/ 'A frame' with front and rear beak.
4/ 'A frame' with rear beak and closing front doors.
5/ Pyramid with integral groundsheet and extended front beak/porch.
6/ Pyramid with integral groundsheet and closing doors.
7/ Pyramid with integral groundsheet, closing door and half covered porch.
There's no zips, velcro or add on bits, just pegs and guys.
If I can be arsed and it stops raining, I'll knock up a prototype and report back.

Sounds interesting.
Re: If you were knocking up a tarp ...
I'm intrigued. Are you perchance practiced in the noble oriental art of ...........origami?
.

A-frame with the option to have beak(s) would be ace. Very interested in how you're going to achieve such a versatile tarp!
Re: If you were knocking up a tarp ...
I hate to agree with Taylor but I'd go for No.5 as well

Yes but it's all very slow. I'm hoping for a break in the weather so I can get the prototype cut out (too big to do inside).Any developments on the tarp?

Hopefully you can make it out.
Black Dots = Tie out
Black Circles = Reinforced tie out
Dotted line = Fold lines
Double dash = Split
There's also 4 Tie-backs on there.

Re: If you were knocking up a tarp ...
A prototype has been made and it does work, however at the moment a groundsheet that 'converts' a tarp rigged as an 'A frame' into a fully(ish) enclosed shelter has caught my attention
