Has anyone tried the cheap tarps on ebay?

Looks like you really couldn't go wrong for the money, if the stated weight's correct it's quite impressive given the price.

Re: Cheap Tarps?
I did have one (slightly smaller I think!) and while it was water proof, light and packed small boy was it noisy! I added a couple of extra grommits to make it easier to pitch. Ended up using it to cover me while servicing disc brakes under a horse carridge!
There are some nice light ripstop nylon tarps on Ebay but I can't find them at the moment... :(

Re: Cheap Tarps?
i bought a BIG one of these tarps, first thing i did was chop it up and make some smaller tarps - I experimented with a batwing solo tarp. and then i experimented with a large square and have now trimmed down to a smaller rectangle.
The maerial works well - is noisy as above - it isn't too heavy 80gsm rings a bell but i might have made it up.
As a cheap or a starter tarp no issues.
Also goes through a sewing machine pretty well. :D
