August's Photo Comp - We have a winner

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

Flatfishy has chosen the topic for Aug photo comp and the subject is 'technical descents'. He'd quite like it if you've actually ridden the descent in question, although your picture doesn't have to show you riding it.

Fire away ... entries will close in a couple of weeks.

Oh, hang on. I didn't actually take that photo. ( I just wanted you all to see one of me 'aving it large ;-) )

Here's one I did take though. Near St Foy in the French Alps....

Should have edited that first one if I'd realised the pic was so bloody big...

Try the smaller one.

Not mine (Slugwash Photo) and not August but it's me :-)

Now it may not look technical but anybody who came down it on the WRT 2011 will tell you it was a slippy as camel poo.!!!

Given the natural habitat of camels and there requirment to minimise water loss I believe the consistency of said " camel poo" would be rather dry so giving rise to grip rather than slipperyness unless it is of course suffering from diahroea of which I seem to be suffering the verbal variety ;) .

I can't believe that you'd have the bare faced cheek to post a picture of yourself, taken by some one else, in a photo competition thread, you vain, self-obssessed..... oh, hang on ;)

Pyro please step forward and choose the 'theme' for Sep' if you'd be so kind.

'Twas a close run thing for much of the voting, so hard luck Slugwash.
