Now the nights are drawing in and the winged teeth are getting fewer (yay) my thoughts are turning towards colder (and hopefully dry) weather. I'm looking for a vest to boost my down jacket and wondered about a Uniqlo one ... does anyone have any experience?

Re: Anyone got a Uniqlo down vest?
Nope but I have always been very happy with my alpkit vest (less so with the baggy sleeved jacket).
Re: Anyone got a Uniqlo down vest?
Originally got one as trial (before splashing out on a more expensive 'name' version) but having used it in all sorts of wet & wild with no ill effects I couldn't see any reason to spend more - so cheap (particularly on the periodic sales) that I now have three others & a long sleeved one too (a bit loose around the neck but a drawstring insert fixed that) & take 2 on very wet rides - one for the 'out' & other for the 'in'. Also, at the minimal cost, never worry about putting a hole/tear in one... great kit IMHO

Seem to think Slugwash rates his parka too.

I was so impressed I bought two. 8-) I also bought the missus one. Haven't got the vest but I might get one if the price drops (as it does occasionally on the Uniqlo site). However, they did sell out last year long before the jackets & parkas so you might want to get one sooner.
As RoyAB said 'great kit'.
