Or am I mis-remembering? yeah the original one was all hanging floors and mesh, and I've dragged that all over the place. I had a second one made pure and simple no options basic...

Re: Balloon bed - was it just me then??
Since getting the Klymit torso pad, almost every other pad for overnighters seems pointless, the balloon bed is too shiny, sleeping bag slips off as I never camp in a sensible place!

Wasn't the stumpjumper ripping off Gary Fisher and the Klunkerz? I own two Specialised a steel Langster and a SWorks Langster frame I'm amassing bits for, both cheap to buy, ordinarily I wouldn't bother giving them my money though!

Yeah 10 speed chain, I recently put a Shimano Yumeya chain on my SS, it had been run in gears, the stretch going single speed was surprising.

How much do you spend on a chain, doing some changes to my Spearfish, and drivetrain is next on the list, a 10 speed chain ranges from £20 - £65, more if I want titanium, which I don't. I'm looking for a good quality and smooth shifting chain, as using Middleburn ceramic coated rings. The DLC coatin...

What size stem do you have? Might be a fleegle in the shed, know I have Mary bars. PM me
I prefer wide bars being 6'4", just removed Salsa bars and fitting Thomson setup to the Spearfish.

Re: Trip advice needed
Yes steripen is good, no not really used mine in the UK, much better filter systems for ultralight setups. But in the UK you can find taps. The issue I had with steripen was the crappy filter that fitted the nalgene, the filter just couldn't get the crap out of the water, but the water was safe to d...

Do people really like Ergons, I have a pair and I just can't decide, perhaps I just don't spend long enough setting them up?

Re: Carbon or Titanium Handlebars
Yeah it's a battle between the Thomson bars, I like the fact I can flip the carbon bar and get a 8mm drop, plus its half the price, Spearfish front end is high even with a negative drop them.

@Ian, that's the problem with them! I can't see much advantage over them except the strength and thicker diameter. The MSR carbon core I have I think are 6g each.
