Converted the rear end to qr and hitched up the trailer that used to carry the girls around for an end of term bike ride, sausage sizzle and investiture with the Cubs. Rattled like a rattly thing but did the job.

Hoping to get out before the end of the month hits. Done three bivvies and a bothy but none that count.

I've used these to good effect on both frame and forks, except I used VHB tape to stick them in place and insulation tape to hold them there.

Downside and I think most of these are similar, it’s oversized one side and standard on the other side, so means bulking out the light bracket for it to fit properly. Use two? One mounted to the bars and a second one reverse mounted to that, with a section of oversized handle bar to take your light...

I used a cheap eBay one to actually lift up a bar bag recently and it worked OK, plus to mount a light.

Sure it'd be a laugh on the bigger tyres. How long are you planning to do it? I want to get into doing longer, multi-day trips and local is good as time is limited.
