Strava costs I can understand as their platform is software/hosting costs same as office 365
Gamin you pay a lot of money for the physical device, some of the new garmin watches are £900+ and have a shelf life due to software updates and battery life.

I'm just looking for some new roadie tyres, The Continental Grand Prix 5000 seem to always get great reviews but at £50 a tyre its the same price I pay for a car tyre :D
Is there much of a difference in ride and speed quality from 700 x 28 to a 32?

If there's budget to consider then it's hard to see beyond an XL Alpkit Hunka. I say XL as they offer quite a bit more room than a standard version which allows you to place your mat inside should you wish. Do you need a tarp? In truth that depends whether it's raining.
