I have a SS microspline cog if you still need one.
I got it as a tester from Kayla on stw forum, not sure if that's the same person as bikepunx.
Ended up not using the hub for SS so the cog is yours for the price of postage if you want.

Re: 2022 Plans (to go with the 2021 Reflections thread)
Great news Colin, hope it continues. I'm planning to throttle back on work and resist the temptation to book more in. Working a max of three days a week April to mid August should be doable at this point. Spend more time on / in the water. Make use of flights booked to Georgia early June and ride a ...

Re: fat tyre pressure ?
I once checked mine with a trials gauge. 4.8 Buds, tubeless were 7 rear and about 4 front. As above, get used to tweaking on the fly, a couple of psi makes a fair difference. Getting it just right is most satisfying. A lot of the bad press for fatbikes comes from folk giving it a spin with too much ...

Re: Rigs (NOT bikes) of the tour divide
Some fairly odd, and unexpected responses here. Much more STW in tone. I'm quite happy to see a mash up of different stuff lashed to the bike, it works just as well as the Insta- ready matchy matchy approach. I think part of the issue is that what we see online is somebody trying to flog gear. It ne...

When are you there Dave, and what size / type of canister do you need?
Can gas be sent via Amazon or similar? My brother is also nearby and could have something sent.

Re: Fat racks
Thing is, the latter would still see me buying a bolt-on rack. I was then wondering about the possibility of having the rack permanently fitted, like a cargo bike. Has anyone explored this sort of option? I considered this, but decided against it for two reasons. First one was that my frame was alr...

Go to your nearest B and Q and witness the thronging weekend crowds. Then ask yourself if riding from home with supplies and bivvying somewhere is adding to the risk compared with that. I genuinely find it bizarre how many people are tripping over themselves to stick to such illogical rules during t...

Re: great looking fatbike frame
It's from Waltly.
I have three frames from them now.
Apart from a consistently oversized seat tube, they are beautifully made.
I use a dropper post in all of them, with a beer can shim, so not a big issue considering the cost.

£850 delivered to my door. Full custom 4.8 tyres with as many mounts and whatnot as you fancy. Just as another option if full custom was something folk are looking for. I'd love to support a small scale artisan UK builder but I really couldn't justify that sort of cost. https://live.staticflickr.com...

I have a set of BB7 mtb calipers if you fancy.
Removed from a full bike a few years back and never used since.
They might have done one ride but no more than that.
There's one set of pads, but the other has gone AWOL.
£60 posted?

Good news.
Let's hope that some sense prevails and it can go ahead.
Anyone heard any word on the HT550? I'll be doing it myself regardless, riding from home rather than the group start.
That's assuming better weather than last year.

Re: Living a meagre existence so you dont have to work ?
Interesting thread. Personally, not working at all isn't too appealing. I think that making a few quid doing a job which is reasonably enjoyable is a good thing. Only a very lucky few find a job they really love doing, but as long as you don't dread the thought of going to work then I reckon that's ...

I don't have much to add to the OP along with what's been said above. Just came here to add a gratuitous pic of my custom truss fork with 100mm offset, to suit a 63 degree HA. It's more capable on proper trails than a rigid bike has any right to be  Designed around a 29+ setup, with 150mm spac...

Re: Travers Ti frames - pay what you can afford.
I'm another PF30 fan. Have two of them currently on Chinese Ti frames which may or may not be from the same place the Travers ones come from. They have been trouble free. One of them creaked initially but I refitted it with a smear of bearing retainer and it's been trouble free (on a grubby fatbike)...

Re: Is a Fargo unique?
I had a gravel/off-road tourer built by Waltly at the start of the year. My third frame from them. They are great to deal with, and you get exactly what you want. I've put lots of miles on mine over lockdown, in SS and Rohloff modes, and I absolutely love it. It is exactly what I was after. https://...
