Re: Cowchippers - Front bag options
Dave
I have used a R&K handlebar mount bolted onto a alpkit Joey with a piece of plastic for support with a 13l roll bag.
If you look on FB bike and bivi page Craig bevan has raised the subject and I have posted some pictures
Sorry the pictures I took are too big to post here

Re: Mountain Warehouse down sleeping bags and bivi bags
Any thoughts or opinions on the extreme lightweight duck down sleeping bag at £80 and there bivi bag at £20 Kind of answered your own question right there  Bag's a ratio of 75/25, so alarm bells are ringing straight away. F/P is likely to be less than 500, loft is likely to be less than the l...

Re: Bar roll bracket ( instead of a harness)
ta for the pic steve did you have a plate between the R&K and the dual bag? I have just put mine onto a Joey but it does not hold the dual bag due to flexing of the Joey I am also thinking of making a plastic curved backplate to strap the bag to using thin plastic sheets glued together / laminat...

Re: Bar roll bracket ( instead of a harness)
Pistonbroke how did you support the Joey to stop it "folding" I am thinking a couple of wooden battens top, middle and bottom.
to me the R&K is the way to go so the bars are free I am just interested in the way you did it?

Re: Mkettle ( small Gillie kettle)
One of my friends has been using one for the past two years and loves his, I am currently waiting for mine to arrive which I plan on running on my old Trangia burner or wood, Yes it is bulky but you can store another 500ml of water on board, the only complaint is stability on uneven ground. Mkettle ( small Gillie kettle)
Any thoughts this looks like a great bit of kit for bike packing, no fuel needed to carry ( just collect as required) and very quick boiling
