Hi Stu I thought if anyone would have some going spare it would be you! Thanks I’ve had a change of tack. I’ve just put a wanted post in the classifieds for a primaloft jacket. I’m going to start with something I can wear, but can also convert to a quilt. If you can imagine a roomy hooded gilet, wit...

WNT:primaloft jacket for sewing project
Hi
Has anyone got a large or extra large primaloft jacket with hood to sell?
Holes, snags, broken zips not a problem as I’ll be canabolising for a sewing project. Could be that jacket lurking in the back of the wardrobe, that could be repaired ?
Thanks
Rich

Re: For the runners amongst us.
Great advice from Greg! If you’re urban based, then find parks, commons, tow paths etc to get some off road running in to condition your ankles, knees and hips. Cross country, tracks and trails will then lead you to fells and mountains. Fitness, skills and preparedness become more important as you p...

Small mtb/hybrid wanted
Hi. I’m looking out for a small bike (16 inch frame at most)to get my sister out on lanes and forest tracks.
Retro- V brakes, suspension fork, 26 inch wheels would do the job. Disc brakes & larger wheels also considered!
Anything you got lurking at the back of the shed?!

Re: hike-a-(loaded)bike
For short sections over boulders and  up stepped ground this works for me: Standing next to the bike reach over the top tube and grab the down tube just up from the bottom bracket. Lift and You’ll find a balance point. You’re arms straight so you’re not having to lock off and use muscles in y...

Where do bikes go at the end of their life?
I’ve got 2 vintage mtbs (saracan tufftrax and trek 912) that were at some point >20 years ago overshadowed and forgotten when a newer shinier model came along - ooh those v brakes look like a good idea...wow carbon pace 32 suspension forks - I can ride down anything now! Re: WANTED: Decrepit Rear derailleur, 9 or 10 speed
Hi restless
I took it off my Kona Explosif 15 years ago. It worked fine then. The return spring feels tight and strong.
If you pay postage you can have it. A small donation to air ambulance would be a nice touch.

Looks like I’ve touched a raw nerve there bringing up the D Valley. Please share your thoughts...
Stu
Would also be interested in knowing what your alternative is. It’s not an area I know too well, but got down there on my first WRT.
Cheers
