FS Surly Ogre [I think]
I have a much loved and never hard used Surly Ogre that I am thinking of selling. I developed a Chronic lung condition after buying and building the Ogre and wasnt able to do what I intended. Now considering a lighter gravel bike [Vagabond maybe] so testing the water to see if any interest in my bom...

Re: #jennride 2021 26th June
Late to the party and discussion.... I am finally about to toe the line, had numerous entries but never got this far, mostly due to ill health, so super excited. Given dodgy health I am planning on doing a shorter ride, slowish, but with cake and some local knowledge. Would love a bit of company. No...

Re: Bob Trailer dog bed
I made a bed, she has done well in it. Tied in tho, but I won't be riding any single track with her loaded.
Now if I can just find a longer fork or get mine adapted to fit my 29" Ogre. Gravel bike is fine for now. Loving the new opportunities.

Re: Bob Trailer dog bed
As long as the dog sits quietly, the BoB will be fine. If however they are 'active' you will find the loaded trailer acts negatively upon the bike. As well as maintaining balance for the trail conditions, you will also constantly be adjusting balance for the trailer inputs. A real life case of the ...

Hahaha. Slow down and enjoy the ride.
Luna is neither yappy nor out of control, well most of the time. We have done plenty of obedience work.
I am just looking to extend our outings.

Bob Trailer dog bed
Hi folks I have brought a [used] Bob Trailer to use with my dog when we are on roads or are doing too many miles for her to run. I know they are not optinal, but I have towed kiddie trailers and tag alongs [fun on single track, little kids love it] and she will go in a 2 wheel trailer. It fits my gr...

Hi all. I need some tech help please. I have read thru previous posts and started making notes, but here goes.... My partner is building a new bike and wants a bike computer for Christmas. Easter trip ideas ?
Hi All Long time no post, but been around and riding as health allows. Looking for ideas for a 2 week trip in April [schools Easter hols] Needs to offer; sun n warmth at least some of the time, woods rather than desert, easy peasy riding, think 50km-ish a day as my stupidly pathetic lungs wont let m...

Re: Shoe sole repair - recommend me a glue please?
Don't use Gorilla glue. It doesn't flex enough. Been there, tried it, cleaned the residue off n took it to cobblers.
I used to have a 2 part mix up glue from America that was much better. Used it all up tho.

Hi, thanks for reply. We are thinking of general longer term use, more than just this trip, altho have discussed the scenarios you suggested. Just had no idea if there is such a thing available, and now agreeing with you that there probably isnt. Funny how I feel much more vulnerable to such nastine...

Looking for a decent lock for a trip to France, Avenue Verte to Paris. I have searched old threads and looked up recommendations, nothing really suits tho. Re: A bit of storage and route ideas required
Hey. Sorry, I should of expanded on the C2C recommdation. Wainrights is a walking route and the other recommendations are for the bikes. I did a slightly softer version in the Lakes, Hardknot and Wrynose passes, tarmac, and used the bothy above Longsleddale. I can't recall name but mountain bothy as...

Re: A bit of storage and route ideas required
Welcome ! I would recommend a version of Wainrights coast to coast. Lakes, Yorkshire and North York moors. Some off road and pubs to camp at. Could tie in with going north. Also look at sustrans for quieter routes, some off road. September is usually nice weather here so you have timed it well. If y...

I hear you. Why ? Doesn't begin.....
I would be very interested to get involved in the restoration efforts in some way. Regeneration is part of the cycle. Sadly it is forced upon us by these idiots. If anyone sees any projects in the future, trying to be positive and look forward....

Spectacular. American owners tho so can't expect much.... I live a few miles from Winter Hill and can see the smoke from home. It's beyond tragic. And yes people are going out to have a look n needing rescuing, and there are reports of more fires being lit. Nothing suprised me in stupidity these days.

Another new bike ? Ti or Steel ?
So my partner is looking for a new ride and has come down to either a Salsa Fargo [steel] or a Sonder Broken Road [Ti]. Both frames will give you a little change from £1k, the build is to follow. He hasnt been able to demo either yet, should change that next weekend. Just looking for any thoughts, e...
