Re: Pillows
Just read on the other forum about the guy who buys a loaf of bread in the evening to use as a pillow. In the morning he proceeds to chop and form his pillow into the brekkie sandwiches with a few spare left for the day ahead. Come the evening hours he visits local bakery looking for his next headre...

Re: Rohloff mated to drop bars...
I appreciate all the replies! :-bd Tons of great feedback, many thanks! I've acquired some cheap old Apex and Rival 10sp shifters, I guess that might be the easiest way to convert once I've bought the Rohbox from SJS. The GB shifter looks very nice indeed, I'd be tempted to try it with the Thorn bar...

Rohloff mated to drop bars...
HELLo, Hope you're well and enjoying the great outdoors as I type this from the work's bunquer... I'm planning to use my Rohloff with the drop bars, ideally I'd have the shifters incorporated to the STI levers. I'm aware of the Gebla Rohbox as well as Cinq Shift:R . I've seen some reviews regarding ...

What size are the Spesh bars, Wake stem and the Jack Wolf jackets please? Is the JW jacket a 2-in-1 thing or separate items at £65 each?

Surly Krampus Large red frameset SOLD
Surly Krampus, Large frame and forks in red with Superstar headset, all less than 100 miles new. Not quite the right fit for me hence the sale. No dings, dents or nasty scratches apart from some very minor surface rub as expected from an assembled frame. Steerer cut at 215mm. Comes with axles and mo...

Boost both ends Well, they're not. Apologies for the confusion and any inconvenience. It's the 142x12mm at the back and the 100x15mm up front. Also, I've compared the geometry charts with the display model and I'm happy to report that all the angles and other measurements are the same as per the Me...

@ holdsteady : As an ex-owner of the Genesis iO, Genesis High Latitude Alfine, Onza Payoff and 1978 Raleigh Esquire I can confidently say that it's not as dull as the iO, seems to be just a tone darker than the Onza. I can take my DSLR to work tomorrow and try and grab some more pics in different li...

Krampus Boost red and Carbon MX forks, CK and 1* WC headsets
Hello! I've Krampus red boost fork for sale, steerer cut to 195mm* with the star nut fitted, comes with the through axle and all the bolts for the rack/mudguard/anything cages. I don't think it has done 50 miles since new, I've replaced it with a different fork and I won't be going back. INFO £90 po...

Re: Angle Adjusting Headsets
I've fitted the 1* Works Components Angleset to Onza Payoff and later on to the Salsa Horsethief. I can't say I've felt the difference on the hardtail, perhaps a little bit on the Horse but there's a chance I've imagined it. Next time I'll get a 2* slacker or a frame with a more suitable geometry. :...

Re: Steel 29er choices
Mk2 Krampus has a slacker HA and you could fit 120mm boings. 142x12mm at the back, no need for the front mech thingy, has all the mounts for racks etc... Perhaps the Longitude, the yellow/green one that was offered with sus-corrected alloy forks? That's QR only though, but again rack mounts et al...

Carbon CX/MX fork with mudguard and rack mounts
Hey, I've brand new Ribble CGR fork but change of plans means I'm not going to use it. I have another one on my MX since March and I can't fault it - it's quite comfy and at the same time, despite my best efforts, doesn't flex or judder badly. Designed for the Post Mount callipers, 9mm QR, comes wit...

Re: Ribble Adventure 725
I agree it's on the shorty side in terms of ETT but I guess that was done so it could be used with the drop bars. It's not a trail shredder but I'd also want it to be a bit roomier as I'm built like a gibbon. I'll try to get more info tomorrow...

Hello. I've Alfine Di2 8 speed drivetrain for sale. Hi Gairy, Thanks for your message! It's the alloy 2014 model, here's the link: https://salsacycles.com/bikes/archive/2014_horsethief_2 I'm gonna pass on your offer though as I'm looking for something slacker than the Rooster, i.e. newer Krampus. I might be tempted with something similar in steel, si...
