Re: Back after a looooooong break!

Hey TheBrownDog, sounds like we can be buddies! I'm just down the road from Harefield / Denham! Sounds like a plan for having a local network to tap into! I'm just waiting for my Pug's sadly botched front wheel to be returned so i'm Krampusing at the mo! The winter bivvy night sounds a must! Just to...

Back after a looooooong break!

Hi all, after a long period of illness I am returning for my very well thought out mid life crisis! I'm in the London area but am looking for new pals here, there and everywhere to go play with. Aside from my Pug and Krampus, I have all my kit and just need to get out there! Anyone gonna throw me an...

Re: Carbon Fargo?

Either way, I have zero interest in a 29+ Fargo. Me neither, in fact, not that much interest in 29+ at all. Peeps, I have just seen the light... Well, fat. 29+ is gr8 and the only bike I prob won't be able to destroy! But imagine that Fargo as 29+.... Borderline cyclocross on steroids for masochist...

Re: I'm new here and I'm alone and scared...

Oo oo nnnnng.... Nah! My vaguely exciting momentum and a full bike packing bicycle (+ beer of course) will prob require a set of Saints! I quote like the lazy aspect of enduro brakes anyhoo... Looking at them is enough to get a bit of modulation going! In fact... This could start the first non Mosco...

Re: Bike Specific Campervan Conversion

That's vaguely exciting. Thanks for the referral. I will check it out tomoro and fear the compulsion and sleepless nights of the new project it inspires! Fortunately that's not a timed deadline unlike the souped up Pugsley I shall give to "me" at Christmas!! Currently running my old and lo...

Re: Hello

Hello mate, I'm new too. I've been buying bits for the last twelve months as I saved for the new bike. Alp kit is great for budget gear as s8tannorm mentioned before. I own a Hunka xl bivi bag too. Cheap as chips and more than adequate with a mozzie net for your head if it's gonna be boggy. I can't ...

Re: Bike Specific Campervan Conversion

A friend of mine did up an old 1950s Dodge Mowag and toured the U.S. in it. vaguely exciting to renovate and cheap to buy but what the renovations would cost unless you're an engineer...

Think we'll all be looking at sensible van conversions instead tho... It's all about the bikes!

Re: Bike Specific Campervan Conversion

On a semi serious note... We should pool resources and buy an old double decker to P.I.M.P. As a roving tour base! That would be the coolest. In fact... Might do it alone. The ultimate mobile home! I've been wondering what would be the best vehicle and the T5 sure looks a good choice. Had looked at ...

Ha, quality! Thinks it's more a case of... image.jpg Although at this point I will go on record and say that I'm not going to decapitate anyone for a shock value magic trick.... Well, probably only myself! Jameso I will be in touch! I have another work compadre your way too I think! Give me a month ...

Re: I'm new here and I'm alone and scared...

Wd agree Josh but I've been riding Avids since their first hydro's as I'm a 160 kg 6'3 human tank and need the stopping power of a monster truck even with my wide load grand national sized butt over the rear wheel. On the plus side, the combined weight of me and the Krampus have vaguely exciting mom...

Good sir, I believe that I am of the persuasion that you describe so eloquently! Previously defined as "Nuttier than the love child of a Snickers and a Ferrero Rocher" or "How Brian Blessed would talk if fused with Spike Milligan" Ta muchly for Basic Orientation and I shall keep ...

I'm new here and I'm alone and scared...

Greetings everyone! Just had my mid life crisis / moment of clarity and got a new bike rather than a sporty car. Thanks to Jack The bike dude at Charlie The Bikemonger for his vaguely exciting steering (no pun) towards the final choice of iron horse! I am now the proud owner of a Surly Krampus Ops a...
