Day 1 - - Mile 14.8 - stay high, turn left, then right over foot bridge follow round to right on the downland (you'll get a view over Winchester here) . Follow main track through a gate (or two) then when it opens out diagonally right towards the tree line find a gate and you're back onto the main ...

Re: Southampton to Ludlow route.

For day two: Just a reminder: cross the A34 on the little southerly detour, which uses an underpass rather than road crossing. Re-instated ... it was in there after you mentioned it before, somewhere it got removed. :-bd Also, at Littlecote manor, save yourself a small climb then descent to reach t...

Vertigo - any other sufferers?

From time to time I get a bout of vertigo. I have not much idea what brings it on... my dad used to get it , my sister does & my daughter does. My eyes will flicker left & right and frankly I feel sh!t... usually leads to puking and needing to sleep. My sister was diagnosed with "Benign...

Re: Southampton to Ludlow route.

Nearly upon me ! The route is fairly sorted, thanks for the input folks. Looking like 245 miles & 14,100 climbing over 5 days Have toyed with putting the 2x on from the Rooster but suspect in reality it'd need to be swapped wholesale, inc cassette & maybe derailleur ( it's 11 speed now, I'm ...

25th June - 14st 10lb / 93.5kg up 4lb over the last week while I was away in the Netherlands which isn't too bad to be honest, Keto went out the window, all that Belgian beer ... and burgers in buns ( virtually no other veggie options anywhere. ) Did do 82miles on the single speed though (196 since ...

Re: What are you drinking now?

Just back from the Dutch SS Champs. We had a night in Bruges. There's a tiny bar there called De Garre https://degarre.be/ Their 'house beer' is just incredible... comes with a big thick head (and gives you one too if you have enough) which lasts, never disappears into the beer. It's flippin marvell...

There's car tyre spaff in Aldi at the moment.
The tyre place did say it's only a temporary thing, like for 100 miles.... but that could be tyre place blag.
I carry a can of it and a compressor. And a full size spare.

Wishing your mum a speedy recovery brother.
It's horrible seeing the effects of aging on the ones we love. My mum's 87 and pretty much house bound.
Health is the most important asset we have, keep hold of it.

17th June - 14st 6lb / 91.5kg Weigh in is a day early so I'm taking that as stable. I'm not at home tomorrow so weighed today. We're backing off a little now as we're happy where we are now. Still avoiding the obvious carbs, bread, spuds, pasta rice & sweets/biscuits/chocolate etc but we've allo...

Wall sits, are they gonna help with belly fat or is it just one of those 'easy to use calories' type exercises. And somewhat surprisingly the UK's most populous wild bird.
I have a pair nesting in my bird box right now.
