Re: Patagonia Nano Puff sizing?

Patagonia sizing tends to be pretty consistent year to year. I've been a medium for about 25 years of their clothing! So if he has anything else from them in an XL, it should be fine.

The only caveat will be their running kit which runs tighter.

Re: Photos you have taken in the last month of which you like.

Nope, It's M101 (Pinwheel Galaxy) - much smaller, much fainter, 21m Ly away. No way you'll see this with your eye unlike Andromeda and it's "close" 4m Ly. Andromeda is a beast to image, really large and my sensor isn't :) Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn - all visible tonight. Conditions are s...

Re: Photos you have taken in the last month of which you like.

First clear night in weeks. Ran the camera all night with sub zero temps and clear skies. This is a quick process to check what data I captured, but I am happy with that I have to work with! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54241767603_f168b7dd1c_b.jpg M101 - Pinwheel Galaxy by Greg.May , on Flickr

Re: Tour Divide 2025

I drank a surprising number of beers on my TDR run. Was not as planned, but it was usually when chatting with locals. I recall somewhere in Montana having food with NewRetroTom and having beers and burgers bought by locals. They really wanted us to stay and chat. Stupidly we opted to ride and then s...

Re: Office Christmas Party Packing

Keen to hear a few more details about Greg's ditch circumstances... Ex-cycle courier. BIG night out in Dublin with mates at end of office parties effectively shut down the trade. I lived not far away, along the coast, cycling home along cycle track beside sea-wall segregated from road about 2 or 3a...

Re: Office Christmas Party Packing

I've previously bivied after a staff do. By far a reason not to get so smashed that I couldn't cycle where I needed to go.

I have also slept in a ditch in my 20s after a X-mas do, but that was not exactly by choice or plan. Or in anyway related to bikepacking :)

Re: Storm Bert 2024 Flooding

Roads closed in and out od Hebden Saturday and Sunday. Town flooded, but up to the barriers on the shops, so most only got a few mm of water in. River came close to the 2016 mark when it burst. Thankfully, didn't.

Can't explain how happy I am with this - a huge step in progress for me. That's an excellent shot. Slightly tighter crop on the LHS to take out the horse butt (maybe a rock) on the land horizon and it's even better.
