Done this route a few times now in stages and once as a one day challenge.it's a cracking ride,can be hard to navigate and pretty wet.weather can make or break.I'm also a Shrewsbury mon, a couple of miles from train station.Will be watching this thread with interest and envy.May be able to help with...

I think the key to this is more access for motorised vehicles, there would then be less damage to the small percentage of green lanes available to them.I rode for 4+ hours last night (MTB) without seeing another soul.I was mainly on rarely used overgrown bridleways which could easily accomidate vehi...

With these long hike a bike sections (can't imagine carrying my bike for an hour) I wonder whether a set of rucksack straps and some padding could be clipped onto the frame to make for a more comfortable carry. Been following this event with interest. I now feel lucky to have missed out on an entry( due to being full) By the sounds of it I would never have finished anyway.I class myself as fairly fit on a bike but this is another level.Fair play to anyone who started let alone finnished,what an achievement...
