Re: Show your support - Well done all.

[quote="99percentchimp"]All the best to Neil and I hope a speedy recovery. Looking forward to a ride round the Dales - happy to try to support it (not been that way since geology field trips and some climbing years ago). It's anticipated that our 200k N York Moors 'thank you' bikepacking r...

Re: Show your support - Well done all.

Me again. Neil has been released from hospital today and is returning home as I type. I take it that all his notes etc will be transferred to our local hospital 'up north'. At present he requires crutches and as far as I'm aware is unable to stand / balance unaided, but the consultant is amazed at h...

Re: Show your support - Well done all.

Neil will respond when he can, on his behalf I would like to say a big thank you from the bottom of my saturated mtb shoes. A week on, with a shattered T12 vertebra / ruptured disc and ligament damage etc he has sat up, walked round the bed (with crutches) and today, apparently done the 'stairs' tes...

Re: Show your support - rider down.

Paul again, everyone's generosity and best wishes have been relayed to Neil. He doesn't have a stable signal or connection to be able to read all the goodwill messages, but is aware of them all. He's humbled and passes on his thanks, he will respond as soon as he is able. At present he still awaits ...

Re: Show your support - rider down.

Thank you to everyone for their kind and supportive comments and donations. Neil, despite his hard exterior will be touched. It says something about the camaraderie of cyclists (in the main), especially those riders who participate in such events. Again, thank you for all your support

2013 Bear Bones - Accident

I would just like to update you on the unfortunate and serious accident that Neil Turner was involved in during this year's BB. The accident happened at approx 04.00 on the A44 @839828. A red Honda Civic travelling at an unbelievably fast speed ploughed into the rear of Neil catapulting him into the...

Re: Who's Camera?

That's mine, if it's still working (after 3 swimmings over years) I'll gladly donate it for the organiser to use for some 'Happy Snaps' I'm not fussed about getting it back. It's cost a lump of money over the years in repairs and owes me nothing now. It's your call.
