Ah. Ok cheers. They are WTB Nano 40c.gairym wrote:But.....if they're CX tyres and already at a much higher PSI than a regular MTB pressure then maybe it might be worth lowering them for the flight, you know just in case (up to you, I would).
Might take them down a little.

In the midst of a repack...
Random question, but having never flown with tubeless tires, what pressure to they need to be dropped to (if they need to be de-pressured at all)?! Have sudden terror of arriving with exploded tires!

It looks beautiful, doesn't it. Looks like a CdF and other similar bikes.
Did they essentially do the same route, James?

Re: The 1st Torino-Nice Rally, anyone?
Remember its not just about kit, its how you use it. So as Gairy said, push on a bit to get low, or stop early. Also make the most of natural cover to get out of the wind (thinking woodland, rocks, etc...) Cheers Chew - competely agreed. Was mainly keen to know if there are any obviously adverse pr...

Re: The 1st Torino-Nice Rally, anyone?
Cheers Gairy - I've done a bit of UK mountain stuff and had exactly those concerns. I sleep quite warm and can normally manage down to below 0 (just) with my planned setup but comfier above 5. Wanted to make sure everyone else didn't know that it was obviously going to be -15 each night with guarant...

Re: The 1st Torino-Nice Rally, anyone?
Out of interest (and to avoid being any more of a numpty than usual) does anyone who's ridden this or similar area before, have a rough idea of likely overnight temps and/or wind conditions. Trying to workout which shelter and quilt for the trip... (I think I'll be bringing a shaped tarp with my ooo...

Re: The 1st Torino-Nice Rally, anyone?
Having broken my Singular on its first (extended) outing at the WRT, I'm going to be taking a Sonder Camino on 40C WTB Nanos. Hopefully the ability to move on a bit on the tarmac / gravel might offset the periods of time I'll be getting bogged down and swearing a lot. Not sure that anything short of...

Re: wtd, Good quality single person tent.
I have a Lunar Solo that's surplus to requirements. Bought it off someone on here for about 100GBP I think. Used once on the WRT in May. I think it was "unused" prior to my using it, but is the slightly older design. Great shelter - side entry single skin with bug net front and a large bea...

Can I ask when people are booking their return tickets for...?! Clearly everyone's riding their own pace, but wanted to sense check that I'm not being too ambitious with a flight back on the evening of the 12th from Nice. Starting to get a bit nervous that I ought to push the date back. I think Jame...

Re: 2016 Teddy bearbones
With the timing of a maestro - we now have plague in the house. ☹️ My youngest (4) has a pretty grotty temperature. He says he still wants to go, but we bivvied on Ivinghoe beacon two weeks ago when he was "fine" but he had woken by 3am, not slept again and then vomited in the morning. Did...

Cheers Si,
Not sure if I mentioned it, but FWIW we will now be two kids, one adult. (Laura decided a weekend of bikepacking in Wales was something she could live without. Mind boggling, but there you go...)

38mm!!
But yes, currently looks ok for the rest of weekend (touch wood).
Looking forward to this.
Random query - I'm assuming hammocks wouldn't work in the lower field where we're camping? I will bring a tent for me and the boys if so.

Mmmmmmm, port and cheese. :-bd Seriously if anyone wants a few cans, bottles or dairy produce then I'd be happy to bring them along and sort out payment later. I'll probably need a day or twos notice so I can nip to the shops Oooh. That's very kind. If it's really ok, I'd be keen to have a few beer...

Re: WRT Lonely Hearts Club 2016
Hi Chew, Could I possibly join the LHC again this year, if that's ok? Really enjoyed last year's outing, thank you. (Will try to stay out for both nights this time, unless we have another casualty evacuation...) I still haven't convinced sufficient numbers of my mates to spend their days getting tir...
