Re: Lael Wilcox AZT FKT controversy.
When do you start measuring sock height? When it has any relevance to the debate I assume Did you consider addressing what i said ? I was specifically addressing what you said. Given that measuring sock height is part of the insanity involved with UCI sanctioned events, then it is relevant. My unde...

Re: A carbon Shand...
Reading the comments it seems that several points are at cross-purposes. That the frame is carbon isn't an issue. That the frame is produced in China rather than Scotland isn't an issue either. Isn't an issue to who? You might be at cross purposes, but that doesn't mean everyone is in the same boat...

Re: A carbon Shand...
I'm not sure how many folk who are expressing reservations about this latest move are 'having a go at Shand'. I am a fan of Shand to a certain extent and wish them well. I twice looked into buying one, but for one reason or another it didn't happen. Neither time was it due to any perceived failing o...

You mean a generic Chinese frame frame, painted, and stickered up by Shand, and then 3 x the price.. Oh dear.. :???: Here you go.. You just need your own stickers.. http://www.workswellbikes.com/web/view/161.html Ouch! Not sure that is a good move by Shand. I'm no branding expert but does it not pu...

Pretty much the ultimate spec pug that.
Poss interested in the drivetrain if you split, and would be keen to hear what you are after px wise. I don't have any gold lame or lamas though.

What types are you currently holding then, Stuart? Tyvek - Paper - like feel but very tough. Sold as waterproof and breathable but I consider it very water resistant as heavy direct pressure from a knee or elbow can push water through if it's on saturated ground. Cuts easily with scissors and doesn...

Good job.
Pogies seem to me to be one of the biggest mark up items going given how simple they are and how much they cost. That said, I would buy mine again if I had to.

It's funny how the seatpost guy seems to incite ire in the minds of bike freaks! There was a thread on retrobike where the guys services were mentioned which kicked off. Maybe some people don't like the idea of having to pay someone to do something a simple as removing a seatpost when there are all ...

I've got an 8sp Alfine on my solo BP bike, and prefer that, though it hasn't got the range for an off road tandem. That's a hell of a statement given the price differential! I have 2 Alfine 8s and on one of those builds I did consider the Rohloff, but I just kept coming back to the price! Given tha...

What's the deal?
Where have they come from?
Where has the money come from?

Re: titanium frames
I have one. I like it. If you have the money and the hankering, go get one. Just remember that not all Ti frames are the same. Quality generally does cost more in Ti just as in any other material. The other point to note is if you are spending serious cash on a quality frame a Ti one won't be apprec...
