What, no Mad Cow Weather thread??
An endearing feature of this forum is how there is always a weather thread for upcoming BB events... Very often weeks in advance... I cannot believe no one has mentioned the unmentionable for this weekend so far! So, as no one else has raised the subject, I thought I would... Latest forecast for the...

Cycliq Fly6 Pro rear camera and light. Have had enough of feeling vulnerable and at the mercy of motorists not giving a monkeys about my safety. 4k footage is very clear. Slightly aggrieved to be compelled to spend money just to feel safer riding my bike on the roads... I will be interested to see i...

Re: BB200 stuff.
A few people asked me whether this would be the final BB200. The answer to that is ... if people still want to come, then it will continue. The weird thing is, the BB200 really doesn't feel like 'our' event or 'my' event but very much 'your' event. It's become something that belongs to the riders, ...

Re: Proposed Wind Farm near Glaslyn
I am just an ordinary man in his fifties. I try to live a modest life and use less wherever and whenever I can. My reason for posting about the wind farm proposal was to provide information to a group of people that I have been part of since 2013 that I thought was relevant. The other reason I poste...

Proposed Wind Farm near Glaslyn
I don’t know how many of you have heard but there’s a proposal for a wind farm on a section of land about 3km southeast of the track between Glaslyn and Bugeilyn. I know wind farms are a controversial topic but this proposal is suggesting 26 (yes - 26) turbines, each at 220m (no I haven’t got that ...

That's the 200 for you...
Surprised how much of that I recognised from past years and I haven't entered since 2020!
Very impressed with your time.
Top effort.
Particularly loved your post ride description of some parts of the route.... "F*cking nonsense"

If you are thinking of the Toyota Proace Verso, make sure you go Toyota and not one of the Citroen/Peugeot/Vauxhall/Fiat derivatives as they all state a much longer timing chain interval and then don't stand by their own warranty when they snap prematurely. For some reason Toyota quote a shorter ser...

I like the question... When I started work at my first real job as a graphic artist back in the mid 80's, we used pens, ink, pencils, parallel motions, set squares etc... If we needed to create words, we used Letraset for the simple stuff and a photographic typesetter (each typeface was on a physica...

All the best to those who are riding/pushing/carrying the BB200 or 300 this weekend. I would say I wish I was there, but that may not be strictly true... Have fun out there, whatever type you can find. And remember, every step or stroke of the pedals is progress and brings you nearer to the en...

An annual treat I always look forward to...
A cracking ride, nearly thwarted by a hang over. Thanks to Rob for getting me to leave Mach and carry on.
Had a brilliant time.
Thanks one and all. Good to see you all and welcome you into the field.

Got to love a Fortitude...
Had my "Race" variant since June 2013.
I have completed 4 BB200s on it, including 2014. Managed a couple of black badges too...
It still has the original paint (orange), and now has front and rear racks as I use it to deliver my bread very week...
Cheers,
Si

Driving up to Glencoe from South Devon to camp in the van arriving Christmas Eve. 3 days there and then noodle around the West coast a bit and then meander back via the Midlands. Will take bike to play with in Scotland and am also participating in the BBB Winter Event on the way home... Usually work...
